Marisa Emma Smith

A director, performer and artistic producer of Alley Theatre (Vancouver, BC), Marisa is interested in telling stories that make the invisible visible. Select directing credits include The Reasons, Mrs. Warren’s Profession (Critics Choice Innovation Award Nomination), Small Parts, Wicked Shorts (2010 Cultchivating Award) and the upcoming O'wet/Lost Lagoon. Marisa was resident producer at Neworld Theatre 2012-14 and Artistic Producer at Solo Collective in 2014/15. She is a recipient of the Joanna Maratta Award for showing the most potential to contribute to the theatre community.
