Mieko Ouchi is an actor, writer, and director working in theatre and film/TV. Her plays The Red Priest (Eight Ways To Say Goodbye), The Blue Light, The Dada Play, Nisei Blue and I Am For You have been produced across Canada and the U.S., been finalists for the Governor General’s Award, and won the Carol Bolt Award among others. Mieko is a co-founder and current Artistic Co-Director of Concrete Theatre, an Edmonton based TYA Touring Company, for whom she writes, dramaturgs and directs. Mieko is working on her new play Makepeace at the Citadel Theatre and the Stratford Festival this fall.
