Jonathan Brower

Jonathan Brower is a University of Calgary alumnus holding a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama. He is the co-founder and artistic director of Third Street Theatre, a theatre company focused on the positive promotion of queer culture, stories and values. He has worked professionally for Alberta Theatre Projects and Lunchbox Theatre. Jonathan has expertise in arts administration, communications, broadcasting and ministry. A born and raised bilingual Calgarian now living in Ontario, he is passionate about theatre as a vehicle for dialogue, education and activism. Much of his recent work has been focused on creating dialogue between faith and LGBTQ+ communities through theatre. He is a publicist, producer, actor, writer and musician and spends his spare time reading about mysticism, contemplative practices, theology, queer theory and transformative justice.
